Walnut & Sycamore Desk

This is a 1" square steel frame under a Walnut & quartersawn Sycamore desk top. I built this for myself in the summer of 2020 (I'll let you guess why). The box around the drawers is all from solid walnut and not veneered plywood, which made this a bit more challenging. The drawer sides highlight how dramatic quartersawn sycamore can look and just how beautifully it goes with Walnut. Finish is a water-based matte finish poly. Frame is flat black powder coating.
